Indian Stores in Shanghai

There are two indian stores here in Shanghai.
Most of the things Indians need, like dals, basmati rice, atta, spices, are stocked here. But some times, the stores tend to run out of some items, it is a good idea to stock up on basic necessities - as I post this, India has restricted its exports of atta ( whole wheat flour) - so its being imported from Pakistan. But I assure you, the situation is better now, only, do not expect much. It is the reaction of all the Indians, when they visit the store, expecting a big shop and lots of Indian groceries - they are disappointed that the store is pretty small and has very few items.( Mostly Indians who have lived abroad are more shocked than Indians coming straight from India ) - to them, I only have to say : Just remember a few years back, when you could not get anything at all ! This is much better than then.

This used to be a store on yanan road, but they have closed shop, but will do delivery - you will need to call them and they will deliver.
